Every single day it seems as if someone posts false information on social media.

But, isn't that really the fault of the reader who takes the information as truth.

It really is the fault of the reader who gets caught in the suck-zone of falsehoods!

Essentially, it is the person reading the data who should be scolded for not doing

his/her own research and fact-checking.

A group I once belonged to has gotten it in their head that

they are not liable for any fiction that any of their members

post via announcements that go out en masse to over 300 ppl.

Needless to say, I left the group. I was disgusted by their flip

attitudes, and their apathy towards spreading the truth

(not caring if it is true or not). Truth that they themselves

have NOT taken the time to prove (or disprove).

In the days of "alternative facts," there is added value and more importance in getting proven facts out to a

very naïve audience.
