Politics is a real b-t-h!
Candidates are often the victim of those awful soundbites, the misconstrued message(s), the occasional but long-lasting wanton lie, or the likes of "swift-boat" attacks - like the ones spewed on John Kerry when he ran for Prez!
It can be detrimental to the candidate as Romney experienced last week when his speech was rearranged (spun) to make it seem like he likes to "fire people". I don't feel badly for him, though, campaigning is not for the faint of heart - Mitt can take it as sure as he can dish it out. Besides Romney did not make his fortune by never firing people - something tells me he does like it - it's money in his pocket after all. The art of "spinning" in the political realm is an equal opportunity for all media sources, Mitt should not be the political diva and fake such indignation.
